Many people are saying this was the best Boiler Room of the history. 12/12/12, in Berlin. Even the date was special! And of course the Germany capital is also capital of the underground electronic music. Our team from Deep in NY was there and… Yeah, they said the atmosphere was really, really amazing. When Âme finished his energetic set, nobody else than Sven Väth assumed and, at a first glance, surprised some people with his new haircut, hehe. Although the beginning was more slow-driving, soon he turned to his characteristic club style and nobody stopped dancing! You can watch his whole gig here. And read the good review Marcelo Godoy wrote about the event below (pictures by him as well):

184504_10200224497598536_1126695986_nLast Wednesday night the Groove Magazine edition of Boiler Room took place in Berlin. The biggest German magazine about electronic music didn’t save efforts to make a brilliant party.

Boiler Room was invaded with all the dense atmosphere from the huge star Sven Väth, which made a two hours set. Sven played a mixture of some tracks he was probably working with since the summer in Ibiza and fresh tunes he’s been reaping along the last months. The “Papa” played his usual techno – like tracks from Daniel Stefanik and Boris Werner that blew everyone’s mind – as well some housy/classic flavored, such as Sterac’s Dub for Donna Summer and “Envision” by Osunlade. The tracklist also had names like Eats Everything, Gregor Tresher and Guy J. Kudos for the already classic by Terranova, “Question” featuring Thomas Hoffding – which Sven picked the Adam Port/Kink’s mix.

Âme transformed his short set (30 minutes) into a complete trippy experience. Provided by Innervisions’ flavor, vocals and acid pads were combined in a deep-techy dance-floor bomb. From calm and beautiful landscapes to crazy and non linear breaks; You could definitely notice the influences after Âme performed some experimental live acts beside Henrik Schwarz (including the heavy “Full-Techno” performed at Berghain). Being a bridge between underground and almost commercial sonorities, he dropped an edit of Crocodile (Underworld) and closed his set with a different edit/remix for the hit of Frank Wiedemann & Ry Coming – “Howling”

At the time we arrived, Dj T had already played, but we were lucky enough to check Jacob Korn’s live act. Performing his own productions, specially from his ultra-hype album “You & Me” (Uncanny Valley), Jacob took nice grooves from his drum machine while controlling effects and other loops. A kind of spacy and very colorful house music was penetrated by classic vocals and fat kick drums. Everybody was dancing and smiling!

Boiler Room is really amazing by giving access to good music no matter where you are. It’s a TV show, it’s a party. You can feel united from people who is not there. It’s live and magical. Of course attending the events in person is a different experience. You have the MC introducing the shows, you have the contact with the artists, the crowd, the soundsystem (it’s a club). It’s unique and cool. We are living the days of Soul Train from the XXI century.
